We are looking to recruit a permanent QA Technician for our client in Coventry to assist the Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining lab standards, verifying, and monitoring Food Safety, Quality Systems, and Product Quality within the business through standard testing methods, to meet internal, customer, and third-party requirements. The role involves working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, with shifts from 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am for night shifts, with 12-hour shifts.
DAY SHIFT OR NIGHT SHIFT AVAILABLE
The main responsibilities include:
1. Carrying out verification and monitoring of the production process according to the Quality and Food Safety Plan, focusing on lab-based assessments, coordinating all product for external testing, and maintaining daily lab duties.
2. Sample collection, testing, and implementing relevant corrective actions for Shelf life monitoring, Microbiological and Chemical Testing, and Organoleptic Assessments, with results recorded appropriately, either electronically or manually. The individual must also monitor weekly and monthly testing budgets.
3. Acting as a Quality and Food Safety Champion, ensuring high levels of GMP and GLP are achieved at all times, and effectively communicating potential issues. Collaborating with the production team to reduce customer complaints.
4. Ensuring traceability throughout the production process and completing accurate, legible records.
5. Supporting thorough investigations of customer complaints, identifying root causes, and working with the production team to implement preventive actions.
6. Verifying equipment according to the Calibration Plan, maintaining neat and legible records, and reporting equipment out of tolerance.
7. Verifying and filing Production and QA records for easy retrieval at all times.
Salary: £27,430 per annum
Holiday: 23 days inclusive of bank holidays
