Accountabilities
* Responsible for managing strategic Aluminium (Extrusions) suppliers.
* Accountable for delivering MFT projects on Time, Cost, and Quality, either under his/her leadership in the MFT or delegated from the MFT leader (PMMA).
* Responsible for end-to-end management of the Aluminium ConBid Process, which controls demand and production of aluminium across Airbus's supply chain.
Main activities
MFT Projects:
* Manage projects within the MFT framework, including planning and reporting to the CSG leader.
* Ensure financial adherence to project budgets.
* Support and contribute to deploying the commodity strategy, utilizing market intelligence and Airbus procurement policies.
* Contribute to cost improvement programs (e.g., MOVE, A350XWB RC2020+, A330) by identifying opportunities, establishing roadmaps, coordinating activities, and negotiating commercial agreements.
* Supervise and support Transfer of Work (ToW) activities for the market and suppliers.
* Coordinate the availability of commercial and contractual elements to enable project success.
* Manage risks related to suppliers, including financial, strategic, and monopoly risks, and define mitigation actions.
Suppliers Selection and Negotiations in MFT Projects:
* Develop and maintain key supplier and stakeholder relationships.
* Lead the Call for Tenders process to meet business needs, propose supplier selections, and coordinate the selection report.
* Lead MFT during supplier selection through tender processes.
* Negotiate contract terms and conditions; manage contract changes with support from the contract manager.
* Conduct supplier contractual review meetings and support supplier development initiatives.
* Define development targets, such as cost reduction, quality, and delivery performance.
* Participate in regular supplier reviews and assessments.
* Ensure consistency between contract terms and the information system (e.g., SAP).
Enablement and ConBid:
* Ensure key Airbus and Airbus Group subcontractors are enabled to procure against Airbus contracts via the Enablement process.
* Manage end-to-end Aluminium ConBid, including demand monitoring, demand allocation optimization, change request analysis, and contractual breach mitigation.
Outputs
* Supplier selection through tender processes.
* Project reviews and minutes of meetings.
* Contract negotiations, validation forms, and commercial agreements.
* Contract reviews and Senior Management Reviews with key suppliers.
* Savings projects, business cases, and reports related to MOVE and A350XWB RC convergence.
