Job Description
WSP is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Engagement team and drive best practice in stakeholder engagement, community relations, and communication across large infrastructure projects in the UK and abroad.
Responsibilities
Deliver meaningful communication and engagement activity to help our clients deliver infrastructure projects by drafting and delivering effective stakeholder engagement strategies.
Help communities and stakeholders understand projects and their impacts by writing clear communications and managing design and print processes.
Provide opportunities for questions and feedback through publishing communications, organising events, and running surveys.
Present feedback to help projects develop responsibly by analysing data, identifying key themes, and managing the reporting process.
Support UK and international clients by providing communication and engagement advice, including developing virtual consultation rooms, posters, banners, public maps, and community engagement events.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective communication and engagement activity.
Manage projects to ensure timelines, budgets, and resources deliver on client expectations.
Preferred Qualifications and Competencies
Preferred Qualifications / Education
Demonstrated experience delivering communication and engagement activity on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
At least degree-qualified, or four years of experience in a related field.
Experience in the road, rail, utilities, water, environment or energy sectors.
Preferred Competencies
Strong team player with an enthusiastic and motivated attitude.
Proven experience managing and building stakeholder relationships.
Excellent communication skills, including writing engagement strategies and reports.
Well‑ordered, structured approach to task delivery, with flexibility to adapt in a demanding, fast‑changing environment.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to manage a varied workload.
Membership of a relevant professional or trade body is desirable.
