This is a, specialist contract role responsible for the technical financial data migration of a private development corporation onto the Sage accounting platform used by a Local Authority. The primary objective is to transition complex financial data, including significant Balance Sheet entries related to land holdings and capital projects, from the legacy Agresso system. This involves meticulous data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation to ensure data integrity and stability within the new Sage ledger. Beyond technical migration, the role acts as a crucial link between public sector finance teams and operational private sector business owners. The successful candidate will be expected to leverage their private sector finance experience to not only complete the migration but also to establish effective new reporting structures (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash-flow) and educate budget holders on core financial concepts and budget development. This position requires a Candidate with proven experience managing complex financial system transitions and a strong focus on data quality and stakeholder collaboration.
