A renowned manufacturer of special-purpose equipment, with a long-standing reputation and national presence, is embarking on an exciting new programme of development. To support this growth, they are seeking a Design Engineer
Role & Responsibilities:
* Consult with customers at site to understand their needs and requirements
* Produce design drawings for quotation purposes
* Create detailed drawings for issue to manufacturing
* Ensure designs are within budget by working closely with estimators and sales team
* Design cost effective solutions utilising standard components and manufacturing techniques wherever possible
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in a design related role
* BEng in Mechanical Engineering would be desirable
* Familiar with AutoCAD products
* Ability to hand sketch and measure at customer sites
* Able to travel and work away from home
