The role

The role reports to the Junior Financial Controller and is responsible for end-to-end management of Transactional Accounting, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, acting as a partner for business owners.


Day-to-day responsibilities

* Driving improvements of transactional and billing processes with cross-functional teams including Finance, Procurement & Sales.
* Leading automation of AP/AR processes within Netsuite, including PO implementation, bank feeds, and reporting.
* Establishing relationships with business owners to resolve customer and supplier queries promptly.
* Overseeing end-to-end AP/AR processes from onboarding to invoice processing, approvals, and payments.
* Performing reconciliations of AP and AR ledgers, including system matching, ageing review, and management of vendors and customers.
* Managing inter-company transactions, daily cash transfers, and FX transactions in collaboration with Treasury.
* Owning credit card transactions and employee expenses processes.
* Assisting with audit queries related to these processes.
* Managing the Accounts Payable Assistant.
* Proven experience in Transactions, AP/AR functions, preferably in a start-up or fast-growing organization.
* Experience with Netsuite is critical.
* Ability to evaluate, suggest, and implement process improvements.
* Building relationships with business owners and external parties quickly.
* Excellent communication skills and leadership in transactional services.
* Strong team player within the Finance function.
* Proficiency in Excel, including v-lookups and pivot tables.
* Comfortable with multi-currency transactions.
* Understanding of UK VAT rules, including reverse charge mechanisms.
