Job Description
As an LGV Class 2 Driver/Installer, you will be a key member of our logistics team, ensuring efficient and timely furniture collections and deliveries while providing exceptional customer service. Your role will involve driving, delivering loading/unloading, installing furniture, all while upholding safety standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Driving & Deliveries – Drive company vehicles safely and professionally, adhering to Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
* Loading & Installation – Load, unload, and install furniture at customer locations with care and precision.
* Compliance & Safety – Conduct daily vehicle checks, ensure proper documentation, and maintain vehicle security.
* Customer Service – Communicate with customers about delivery times and ensure a positive experience.
* Mentoring & Support – Guide and support trainees, apprentices, and agency staff to develop their skills.
* Equipment & Tools – Maintain company-issued tools and report any defects or missing items.
* Team Collaboration – Work closely with warehouse teams, customer service staff, and management to ensure smooth operations.
Skills and Experience:
* Experience: Previous driving experience in an LGV Class 2 role.
* Driving Licence: A Full Valid LGV Class 2 Licence
* Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with tachographs, Driver’s Hours regulations, and Health & Safety standards.
* Ability to lift and handle furniture safely.
* Technical Skills: Basic DIY skills for furniture assembly/dismantling.
* Communication: Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to remain calm under pressure and think on your feet.
