We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of an £11m care home extension and refurbishment project in Bath.
The scheme is now underway and will run for approximately 12 months, involving a phased extension alongside refurbishment works within a live environment. As residents remain on site, this role requires a professional, organised and highly people-focused Project Manager who can successfully manage works while maintaining a safe and considerate environment.
The position is permanent, offering long-term security with a contractor that has a strong pipeline of secured work across the region.
The Role
You will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from construction phase through to completion and handover.
This includes:

Overall project leadership and programme management

Managing site teams, subcontractors and supply chain
*
Maintaining strict health & safety compliance in a live care setting
*
Ensuring minimal disruption to residents and staff
*
Liaising closely with the client, consultants and care home management
*
Budget control, cost reporting and risk management
*
Driving quality standards and snag-free handover
This is a visible, client-facing role requiring strong communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders in a sensitive, occupied environment.
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Project Manager on extension and refurbishment projects
*
Experience working in live / occupied environments (healthcare, care homes, education or similar)
*
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
*
Excellent programme and commercial awareness
