Rate: £600-750/d inside IR35
X4 Technology are partnering with a global energy trading firm to recruit a contract IT PMO to support a major energy trading & risk management (ETRM) transformation. The programme focuses on enhancing performance, streamlining processes and scaling operations across the full deal lifecycle.
This initiative aims to optimise core processes and deliver a robust, efficient platform that enables sustained growth and significant operational cost savings across middle and back-office functions. The IT PMO will play a critical role in ensuring strong governance, consistent execution and disciplined change delivery.
Responsibilities of the PMO (Energy Trading)
* Partner with Programme and Project Managers to establish effective governance and ensure seamless delivery.
* Implement and maintain standard PMO frameworks for cost, resource, schedule and risk management.
* Track and report programme performance, highlighting progress, dependencies and key risks.
* Oversee financial management - monitoring actuals, forecasts, and value realisation across workstreams.
* Support delivery and reporting across Endur and related systems, driving process improvement and compliance.
Requirements of the PMO (Energy Trading)
* Proven experience in a PMO role within energy trading, commodities, capital markets or investment banking.
* Background supporting large, complex trading system programmes is highly desirable
* Strong grasp of financial tracking, reporting and governance processes
* Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and analytical skills.
* Thrives in fast-paced, regulated environments that demand precision and control.
The role is hybrid in London (3 days per week) offering rates of £600-750/d (inside IR35). The contract is for an initial 6 months, with multi-year potential as the programme represents a top priority flapship transformation for the business.
