In the UK, Safran Seats specializes in First and Business Class seating for wide-body aircraft, with teams in Cwmbran, Newport, and Brackley.
As a Project Engineer, you will provide technical support, collaborate on work packages, and manage projects across various engineering initiatives. You will be a key contributor within the Safran Seats GB Engineering Project Management office, involved in early engagement, delivery, testing, prototyping, and sustaining production.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
* Understand and facilitate Time, Cost, and Quality in product development and R&T lifecycle.
* Engage with project governance, methods, and tools to meet contractual and customer requirements.
* Manage stakeholders across engineering and non-engineering disciplines for project success.
* Handle change management and product development requirements.
* Use project management tools to update progress and support engineering management.
* Analyze data, prioritize actions, and contribute to negotiations.
* Support technology handover and transition to manufacturing.
* Perform peer reviews and ensure compliance with aircraft certification standards.
Qualifications and Experience
* Industrial experience in product development, production engineering, or R&D within engineering.
* Experience in project management, planning, and influencing results.
* Self-reliant, proactive, motivated, and achievement-oriented.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to build effective relationships across departments and with customers.
* Qualified at NVQ Level 4 or HNC in engineering.
* Knowledge of software, electrical, electronic systems, or composite, plastic, and additive manufactured components.
* Hands-on experience in product/process/materials development.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
* Full UK driving license and valid passport, as travel may be required.
