We are seeking an inspiring and forward-thinking Head of Creative Arts to lead and develop our vibrant Creative Arts faculty, encompassing Art, Textiles, Drama and Music, within the context of our Catholic ethos. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner and leader who is passionate about the transformative power of the arts and committed to fostering creativity, collaboration and excellence. The ideal person will be passionate about teaching and learning, who loves teaching children and has high expectations both of themselves, other colleagues and children, also having the ability to bring out the best in others.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for the faculty, supporting the recognised high-quality teaching and learning already in existence at the College, as well as curriculum innovation and inclusive practice. They will work closely with staff to nurture student talent, promote creative expression, and continue to ensure that the Creative Arts play a central role in the cultural and spiritual life of St. Bede’s.
We are seeking a leader who combines strong organisational skills with artistic vision and who is committed to supporting the mission and values of our Catholic school, helping students to grow academically, creatively and personally.
Teaching within the faculty is supported by purpose-built studios, workshops, and performance spaces. The faculty is very well equipped, allowing students to explore many different ways of working, both practically and digitally.
As a leader within St. Bede’s, the Head of Creative Arts Faculty is expected to provide creative leadership, aiming to strengthen the faculty’s external profile both locally and nationally.
