Our Estates strategy ambitions have been refreshed to take us through to 2030:

* OPTIMISE: Continue to transition to a more affordable and adaptable DWP estate that creates productive environments
* INVEST: Investment in an improved environment that better meets the needs of customers and colleagues and minimises service disruption, Strategy and Policy
* Provide health and safety support to the DWP Estates team stakeholders
* Attend sites to investigate incidents, deliver health & safety inspections or provide estates related health & safety support to site teams
* Analyse health & safety related performance indicators both internal (DWP) and external (suppliers) and engage in preparation of health & safety improvement programmes
* Involve in information collation, gathering and relevant stakeholder engagement across estates, suppliers and DWP staff to support accident and incident investigations. In conjunction with supplier partners, assist the Authority in acting on accidents and incidents, near misses and workplace ill‑health issues so that it can meet its statutory health & safety obligations.
* Work independently when allocated estates related incident investigations, complete investigation reports by engaging with appropriate internal and external stakeholders (utilise DWP SOARS - Safety Online Accident Reporting System)
* Access DWP Estates CAFM system for information required to deliver estates related health & safety tasks - including investigations, safety improvement programmes, audits
* Support development and delivery of health & safety related training materials to DWP colleagues
* Support development and review of DWP safety management system documents
* Support work of health & safety shared inbox ensuring that requests for support are appropriately actioned
* Join actively in development and delivery of health & safety inspection and audit programme, close out of actions; health & safety campaigns
* Support in the roll out health & safety initiatives and programmes in partnership with suppliers
* When required liaise with enforcing authorities such as the Health and Safety Executive and the Crown Premises Fire Safety Inspectorate
* Support the Health & Safety Lead in development and implementation of safety policies and procedures
