We are now seeking a skilled and flexible Mobile Plant Engineer to join our team, maintaining and repairing plant machinery on-site to ensure minimal downtime for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
As a Mobile Plant Engineer, you will:
* Travel to client sites to inspect, diagnose, and repair faults on a range of plant machinery, including excavators, telehandlers, dumpers, and more.
* Perform preventative maintenance and servicing to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in a timely manner.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards during all on-site repairs.
* Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including job sheets and parts used.
* Provide professional and courteous service to clients, ensuring excellent communication throughout the repair process.
* Keep the service vehicle stocked and organized with tools and spare parts.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
* Experience:
o Proven experience in plant maintenance and repair, preferably within the plant hire or construction industries.
o Knowledge of a variety of plant machinery and their systems.
* Skills:
o Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
o Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
o Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.
* Licences:
o A clean, valid UK driving licence is essential.
* Personal Attributes:
o Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
o Proactive and safety-conscious approach to all tasks.
