Teaching Assistant Role at Long-Term Teachers
We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support Maths, Literacy, and Reading interventions across KS1 and KS2 classes at a 3-form entry Primary School in the BS8 area of Bristol. The school provides a safe environment for pupils to explore and challenge themselves academically.
Role Details:
This is a full-time position starting ASAP until the end of the academic year.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary setting, with strong knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum, particularly the core subjects.
Your responsibilities will include supporting children on a 1-to-1 and small group basis, fostering their learning and development.
You will be expected to:
1. Hold high expectations for children's development.
2. Demonstrate effective positive behaviour management skills.
3. Communicate clearly with the Class Teacher regarding children's progress.
4. Create a positive and engaging learning environment.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to support interventions.
6. Use your initiative to differentiate activities according to each pupil’s abilities.
