Jobstore are recruiting for a skilled Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our world‑leading manufacturing client in Wythenshawe, Manchester. (Electrical bias needed) on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
* Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment to ensure continuous operation.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
* Repair or replace faulty components, including welding repairs where necessary, adhering to safety standards.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate maintenance tasks.
* Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and continuous improvement purposes.
* Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times during maintenance operations.
* Carry out general FM building maintenance tasks as necessary.
* Provide excellent customer service internally by supporting production needs promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
* Good experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing environment.
* Good electrical experience with knowledge of PLC faultfinding and troubleshooting.
* Mechanical knowledge including welding skills and familiarity with schematics.
* Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics accurately.
* Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* Customer service orientation with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
