Job Duties
To review claims information to determine if a referral for investigation is in order to interview claimants and employers concerning potential overpayment and claimants concerning established overpayments and repayments.
Responds and investigates inquiries from claimants, employers, staff and the public to provide information and or resolve problems or issues regarding Unemployment Insurance benefits.
Provides UI services to customers in a professional and prompt manner to meet customer needs. provides information and assistance to callers, both internal and external.
Minimum Qualifications
Basic knowledge of claims processing; basic accounting and cash management principles; and office operations.
Strong customer service, claims examination and processing, data entry, and communication (oral and written) skills. Proficient in Microsoft software (e.g., Excel and Word), OneDrive, and/or similar software.
Ability to perform detailed work related to the tracking and resolution of claims and employer charges; collect and analyze information to make determinations; prepare and reconcile reports; record and enter information into a database; interpret and apply program requirements; work independently and as a member of a team; respond to inquiries and provide technical assistance; and prioritize work load and meet deadlines.
Additional Considerations
Experience entering and reviewing data using an automated system (e.g., VUIS or related system), providing administrative support, reviewing claims, and/or working with UI benefit programs.
Experience working Special program, TRA/RTAA, and DUA claims.
