Are you passionate about shaping future talent and driving impactful learning programmes? Want to lead the apprenticeship strategy for a national organisation that truly values growth and development? This is a newly created opportunity to join Dignity Funerals as our Apprenticeships Manager.

We’re on a journey to modernise and enhance how we attract, grow, and retain talent. This pivotal new role puts you at the heart of that transformation, giving you the chance to build and lead a high-quality apprenticeship offering from the ground up.

Why does this role matter?

At Dignity, we provide essential services at some of the most important moments in people’s lives. This role gives you the chance to make a real difference—not just to our business, but to the people who work within it. You'll be helping individuals take their first steps into meaningful careers, supporting their growth, and ensuring we have the future-ready skills our organisation needs.

By embedding structured, supportive apprenticeship pathways, you'll play a key role in helping people grow into roles where they can truly make a difference.

What You'll Be Doing

* Lead the design, development and implementation of our national apprenticeship strategy.
* Maximise our use of the Apprenticeship Levy to support talent development and business priorities.
* Collaborate with HR, L&D and recruitment teams to align apprenticeships with workforce planning and career pathways.
* Build strong partnerships with external training providers to ensure high-quality, compliant delivery.
* Monitor learner outcomes, manage provider performance, and support apprentices throughout their journey.
* Champion apprenticeships across the organisation to drive engagement and participation.

About You

We’re looking for:

* Strong experience leading apprenticeship programmes, ideally in a regulated or multi-site setting.
* Excellent understanding of ESFA regulations, funding rules and compliance requirements.
* Confident working with third-party training providers and internal stakeholders at all levels.
* Organised, analytical and passionate about professional development and early careers.
* A relevant qualification such as A1 Assessor, IQA or apprenticeship-specific certification is desirable.
* Full UK Driving License - this role will involve some regional travel where required.

What We Offer

* Annual salary of up to £43,000.
* £4,000 annual car allowance.
* 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
* BUPA private healthcare (Self).
* Company pension, life assurance, and employee assistance programme.
* Annual company bonus.

What are the next steps?

We are a people-focused business with a strong sense of purpose. At Dignity, you’ll be part of an organisation that values care, integrity and respect. This role will put you at the forefront of how we grow and support our people, giving you the chance to leave a lasting legacy through the development of meaningful, future-proofed careers.

If you're ready to take on a strategic, hands-on role with room to grow and shape the future, we’d love to hear from you. Simply click the ‘apply’ button and a member of our Talent Acquisition Team will be in touch to guide you through the next steps.

About Us

At Dignity, we’re here for families when it matters most. With compassion, professionalism, and integrity at the heart of everything we do, we take pride in supporting people through one of life’s most difficult moments. Every member of our team plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service and care to those who need us.

With over 500 funeral homes across the UK, Dignity Funerals is a trusted presence in local communities, operating under respected and well-known local names. We’re proud to offer a truly personal and attentive service — one that’s tailored to the individual needs and wishes of every family we support.

We’re also part of the wider Dignity Group, a growing organisation with the unique ability to support every aspect of end-of-life planning and care. This includes:

* Our Crematoria and Memorials Group, managing 45 crematoria nationwide
* Dignity Funeral Plans, giving people peace of mind by allowing them to plan ahead
* The recently acquired Farewill, a leading provider of online wills and probate services

Together, our goal is simple: to provide families with continuity, care, and clarity — from planning and preparation through to the funeral itself, and beyond.
