Description
* Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
* Maintain and update the purchase ledger with all transactions in a timely manner.
* Reconcile supplier statements to ensure accurate account balances.
* Handle payment runs, including BACS and cheque payments.
* Assist with resolving supplier queries and discrepancies.
* Support month-end closing activities related to the purchase ledger.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
* Provide reports and updates to the accounting and finance team as required.
Qualifications
* Experience in accounts payable or similar roles within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
* A solid understanding of purchase ledger processes and accounting principles.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* The ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively.
* An analytical mindset to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
Job Offer
* An hourly salary equivalent to approximately £24,300 to £29,700 annually.
