Our Gym Operations People Team have recently gone through a period of change as they aimed to find the right structure to enable them to scale and provide a more effective and efficient support to the business as it continues to grow. This has resulted in a newly formed People Advisory Hub being created within our Leeds City Centre Office. We are now looking for talented People Advisors to join this exciting new team.
The People Advisory Hub & The Role
The overall aim is that the “Hub" will provide a consistent, high quality, standardised service to our UK Gym Operations business that helps to ensure we treat our people with integrity and care.
This has been designed to be a one stop shop for all UK Gym Operation people queries. Whether that be onboarding team members, administering a change to a team members contract, reporting on trends and key metrics, or providing advice and support to our gym management teams with regards to any employee issues – this team in the “hub” will be at the heart of it all.
The team will be made up of six People Advisors working together to share an overall workload on a rotation. This means some days you will be answering calls and advising, and on others you will be completing administrative tasks. A desire to deliver a range of tasks and activities is needed.
This role is based in our Leeds City Centre Office and you will be asked to work within the hours of 8.00am and 6.30pm with various shifts available across those hours. Therefore, we are flexible to personal situations, for example; 8:00 – 16:30 or 9:00 – 17:30 or 10:00 – 18:30.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting all line managers to build confidence and competence in dealing with any people related challenges within their team.
* Identifying themes/trends with cases, being confident to present them to the rest of the team and making recommendations to drive improvement.
* Carrying out key activity such as manager induction check ins, prompts about probation reviews and exit interviews to gain valuable insight on how it feels to work for PureGym and suggest improvements.
* Sharing best practice, apply it in a standardised way and constantly challenging the status quo where we should be aiming to achieve more.
* Building strong working relationships with the Divisional People Business Partners to ensure each division is provided routine insight to drive proactive activity and help reduce the reactive workload.
* Processing all team member lifecycle paperwork including new starters, changes and leavers.
* Being an expert of our HR and Payroll system to ensure that opportunities for optimisation are identified and communicated to constantly promote efficiency and accuracy.
The Person
We are looking for strong advisors that have a passion for playing a key role in ensuring the foundations of a People Department are solid.
The role would be perfect for someone who loves a fast-paced environment working with people who care about their team and value the help and support of a people expert.
The right person for the role will have:
* A proven track record of working in a role that provides sound advice on people related matters and queries within a fast-paced environment.
* Experience of managing HR Administration processes linked to the employee life cycle, including new starter paperwork, contract changes and leavers.
* The ability to produce and analyse reports on key HR metrics.
* Solid understanding of employment law and people management practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt their style to different personality types and learning needs / styles whilst influencing to get the right outcome.
* Integrity and the ability to act with confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.
* The ability to constantly reassess priorities throughout the day whilst working accurately and showing high attention to detail.
* A positive can-do attitude and a passion for working as part of a team.
* The ability to be based in our Leeds Office and work a range of shifts that will cover the hours of 8.00am to 6.30pm.
