Role: Specialist Outreach Worker
Salary: £13.85 per hour
Location: London and surrounding areas
Hours: 21 hours per week. Availability to work a variety of day shifts across week days and weekends.
About the role
You will be expected to work a variety of different shifts including morning, afternoon, and evening and occasional night shifts (nights depending on client needs) and weekends. You may also be required to work bank holidays.

Key qualifications
Do you have the ability to communicate in British Sign Language?
Do you have knowledge of the deaf community and mental health issues?
Do you have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or the care certificate?
We are recruiting to provide high quality health and social care support to deaf individuals, many of whom have mental health conditions.
We are looking for independent, dynamic, compassionate and hardworking individuals who can support individuals living in our community to maximise their independence.
Role responsibilities
As an Outreach Worker you will undertake a range of tasks including working closely with clients to develop supportive relationships, support clients in developing independent skills, provide emotional support, develop personalised plans and ensure a professional service is maintained.
You will liaise with statutory authorities to access new referrals, social workers and other professionals. The work is interesting, challenging and rewarding.
Due to the nature of this position you will need a minimum of Level 2 British Sign Language, understand data protection and store data in line with GDPR, care regulations and the CQC.
If you have knowledge of safeguarding, working with young people, adults at risk or adults in crisis, this would be helpful but not essential.
