Role Overview
As an EICA Engineer, you will report to the Lead Control & Instrumentation Engineer and play a crucial role in delivering engineering projects that enhance our manufacturing operations, control systems, and instrumentation infrastructure. Whether you're newly qualified or bring years of experience, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide range of industrial control systems and support continuous improvement across the site. Flexibility required around business needs.
Responsibilities
* Support and deliver site-wide electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation (EICA) projects
* Ensure both new and existing equipment meets internal customer needs and future‑proofing goals
* Collaborate with project teams and contractors to deliver engineering solutions on time and within budget
* Maintain and upgrade control systems including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and industrial networks
* Diagnose and resolve EICA‑related faults across the site
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
* Maintain and interpret technical documentation including schematics and control philosophies
Qualifications
* A solid foundation in electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation systems
* Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and industrial communication protocols (e.g. Ethernet/IP, Profibus)
* Strong fault‑finding abilities and understanding of process instrumentation (temperature, pressure, flow, etc.)
* Familiarity with control systems integration, especially in safety‑critical or production environments
* The ability to interpret and maintain technical documentation
* A flexible mindset and the drive to contribute across multiple projects
