We are now looking for a talented and driven Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.
The Role
As Sous Chef at Orion, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen and support the Head Chef in delivering consistently high standards.
Responsibilities
* Support the running of service and confidently run the pass when required
* Be capable of taking charge of the kitchen during occasional shifts
* Assist with kitchen organisation including ordering, prep planning and stock control
* Cook confidently across all sections including fish, meat, garnish and pastry
* Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation
* Work closely with the team in an open kitchen and Chef’s Table environment
* Help drive a positive, focused and professional kitchen culture
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Has previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous in a quality restaurant
* Has experience running the pass during service
* Is confident cooking fresh food across all sections including pastry
* Is organised, reliable and calm under pressure
* Takes pride in maintaining a well structured kitchen
* Enjoys working in a visible, open plan kitchen environment
* Has a genuine interest in seasonal produce and seafood led cooking
Working Pattern
* 5 days out of 7
* Kitchen typically opens at 10am and is closed by 11pm
