Seymour John are exclusively partnering with a well-established manufacturing business in West Bromwich, who are actively searching for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their busy finance team, on a 15-month maternity cover contract.

Hours of work are 07:30-16:30 (Mon-Thurs) and 07:30-12:30 (Friday)
About the role
As Assistant Management Accountant, you’ll support the Finance Manager in managing the day to day running of the finance department. Duties in the role include:
* Daily and weekly cash management
* Managing GL payments and company banking systems (including CID & cash control)
* Assisting with month-end accounts: accruals, prepayments, payroll, reconciliations
* Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and VAT/statutory returns
* Supporting with P11Ds, Barclaycard statements, National Statistics submissions
* Identifying and implementing process improvements
* Supporting the AP function as needed
* Assisting with year-end audit preparation

You’ll bring an analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the confidence to work proactively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines.
