My client are a regional civil engineering business. They are looking to onboard a health and safety manager to help oversee the delivery of a new contract in North Wales. My client operate across the transport, renewable, coastal and infrastructure sectors. H&S manager responsibilities: * Ensure the project complies with all relevant health & safety legislation. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and industry standards. * Prepare and manage site H&S documentation: Safety Plans, RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements), permit-to-work systems. * Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards. * Review and approve contractor risk assessments and method statements. * Coordinate H&S training for workers (induction, toolbox talks, task-specific competency). * Ensure subcontractors meet H&S requirements and enforce compliance. * Develop and maintain site emergency response plans. * Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety stand-downs. * Maintain documentation for audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
