We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking Operating Department Practitioner to join our Ophthalmology Theatres team at the National Treatment Centre – Highland (NTC-H).
Previous ophthalmology scrub experience is desirable; however, full training can be provided for the right candidate.
Based on the Inverness University Campus, the NTC-H is a purpose-built facility featuring five state-of-the-art theatres, a 24-bedded ward, and a dedicated Ophthalmology Outpatients Department. We deliver high-quality care to both Ophthalmology and Orthopaedic patients.
Our Ophthalmology Theatre Department includes three theatres supporting high-flow cataract surgery, alongside subspecialty lists such as glaucoma, oculoplastics, corneal, and vitreoretinal procedures.
In this role, you will work across both scrub and anaesthetic practice, with an approximate 80/20 split. This is a fast-paced environment with a high patient turnover, and we are seeking an ODP who will be a positive and skilled addition to our established team.
Informal enquiries and visits are encouraged.
NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.
