Manufacturing Engineering Skills Trainer - Part Time Job Reference: ManuEST/07.2025 Salary: This is a part time role with an actual salary of up to £27,548.36 and a full-time equivalent salary of up to £37,879 per annum. Working Hours: 24 hours per week over 4 days, working one in four Fridays, 52 weeks per year. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineering Skills Trainer to join our Engineering department. The College have successfully secured funding from the Greater Lincolnshire LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership) and have created a multi-million-pound centre of excellence for sustainability and renewable energies. The project transformed our provision with industry-standard workshops, equipment, and digital learning spaces. The Energy Centre allows us to expand our provision and offer new Engineering and Construction courses in electrical installation, plumbing, gas fitting and renewable energies including solar, wind, and air source heating. Together with our Institute of Technology, the Energy Centre marks a flagship investment by Grantham College in training for the jobs of the future. The purpose of the role is to assess, coach and mentor apprentices within the relevant apprenticeship framework or standard in a timely way. Successfully meeting the assessment, skills and behavioural developmental requirements within the apprenticeship. The successful applicant must have: Level 3 Qualification within at least one relevant vocational industry Assessor Award (A1 or equivalent) Engineering Trade Qualifications Engineering Industry Experience English and Maths to at least Level 2 This role requires you to engage in regulatory activity in the FE sector. The full definition of regulatory activity is set out in the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 as amended by the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012. Regulated activity includes teaching, instructing, caring for or supervising children if the person is unsupervised. Fancy a 4-day working week*? Grantham College operate a 4-day working week.
