Maths and English Tutor – Explore Learning (Whiteley Centre)
Overview
Explore Learning offers award‑winning tuition to children across the UK, focused on nurturing fearless learners. As a tutor you will design and deliver lessons that help students progress through the national curriculum, 11+ entrance exams and GCSEs, creating lasting relationships in small 16‑to‑1 group sessions.
Responsibilities
* Create and deliver lessons that last, using our smart learning tool – Compass – to guide and challenge each student.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with learners aged 4–16, fostering their confidence and love of learning.
* Support students through the national curriculum, 11+ entrance exam preparation and GCSE content.
* Maintain consistent attendance, working a minimum of 6 hours per week across two distinct days between 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays.

Pay & Progression
Hourly rates based on age:
* Under 18: £8.00
* 18–20: £10.05
* 21 and over: £12.25
* +£0.50 per hour if working at a centre inside the M25
Pay increases annually based on the hours you tutor for us.

Requirements
* Grade 5 or above in Maths & English Language at GCSE level (or equivalent). Predicted grades accepted if results are due within 3 months.
* Age 16 or over with right to work in the UK.
* Must be able to travel to the Whiteley Centre.
* Seeking long‑term commitment for consistent learner relationships.
Hiring Process
We hire on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Successful applicants will undergo reference checks, a Disclosure & Barring Service check or a PVG check. This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and its amendments.
