SEMH Teacher – Alternative Provision

Smile Education is recruiting on behalf of one of our partner Alternative Provisions for a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teacher to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them re-engage with education and achieve positive outcomes.
The Role:
Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs
Create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
Build strong, positive relationships to support behaviour and emotional regulation
Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs and external professionals
Track progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needsThe Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching qualification
Experience working with SEMH, SEND, Alternative Provision or challenging behaviour (essential)
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
A calm, patient and resilient approach
