Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a passionate and ambitious individual to join our team as a Trainee HR & Employment Law Consultant.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to develop a career in HR consultancy and employment law advocacy. You’ll receive full training and mentoring from experienced professionals as you support clients in a range of HR matters, gaining exposure to both strategic and operational HR practices. You will also work alongside our Employment Law team to prepare cases and represent clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide HR advice and support to clients on matters including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, sickness absence and redundancy.
* Assist in drafting policies, procedures, letters and other employment documents.
* Support and eventually lead client casework relating to ACAS Early Conciliation and Employment Tribunal claims.
* Prepare bundles, witness statements and case strategies under supervision.
* Represent clients at preliminary and full tribunal hearings (once experienced and confident enough to do so).
* Keep up to date with employment law developments and HR best practice.
* Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For:
* A genuine interest in HR, employment law and advocacy.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent written skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases and deadlines.
* Resilience, confidence, and professionalism in challenging situations.
* A relevant degree (law, HR or related field) is desirable, but not essential.
* Any experience in HR, employment law work or advocacy is advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided.
