Work with York Limited is recruiting for a motivated and detail-oriented Local Land & Property Information Officer to join our client’s team in York.
This full‑time role is initially for a minimum of 3.5 months, with the potential to transition from temporary to permanent. It is a weekly paid position. The hourly rate is commensurate with current market rates and an individual’s experience. Initially this will be office based, in the centre of York.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and manage the Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG), linking to the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG) and promoting its use within the organisation as the corporate resource for all property addressing needs.
* Ensure that local and national data entry conventions and standards are fully adhered to in the LLPG maintenance process.
* Monitor and analyse the LLPG data for quality assurance, in particular the measures and administration systems to validate its correctness.
* Resolve discrepancies, conflicts, duplicate records, and maintain cross‑references with other data sources, including Council Tax, the Electoral Roll, the Local Street Gazetteer (LSG), and Non‑Domestic Rates (NNDR).
Qualifications
* Inquisitive mind and enjoyment of problem‑solving.
* Detail‑oriented with strong accuracy in repetitive tasks.
* Good understanding of case management systems (CMS) or software, ideally IDOX Uniform Gazetteer Management System.
* Experience with British Standards BS 7666 and GIS tools is advantageous; training will be provided if required.
* Understanding (or ability to quickly develop) of LSG/LLPG functions, standards and statutory contexts they support (e.g., planning).
