We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest interactions efficiently.
Duties
* Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
* Manage reservations and maintain an organised seating chart to optimise table turnover.
* Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, taking reservations and addressing inquiries.
* Provide guests with menus and inform them of daily specials or promotions.
* Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
* Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the host/host area.
* Assist in other restaurant duties as needed, contributing to a positive team environment.
Qualifications
* Previous restaurant or hotel experience is preferred, showcasing familiarity with guest services.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with guests and team members.
* A passion for hospitality and providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure while managing guest expectations.
* Experience in serving or food handling is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
