Job Summary
The Senior Stakeholder Engagement Manager will play a key role in managing positive relations with external stakeholders and communities that the project needs to have an active and ongoing dialogue with. The role holder will also have the responsibility for supporting the MDJV delivery of WI 2400, including management of the onsite HS2 visitors space and the management of the public enquiries in line with HS2 expectations. The role will also support the Head of Consent, Environment and Stakeholder & Engagement, the wider project in managing relationships with key stakeholders and in achieving the Undertakings & Assurances / project commitments and the HS2 project Key Performance Indicators.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and get acceptance from HS2 for a Local Area Engagement Plan (LAEP) and ensure it is updated on a quarterly basis (3 month lookahead)
* With the SEE & Communications Lead develop and get acceptance from HS2 for the project Community Investment Plan in accordance with WI2400 and ensure it is updated on a quarterly basis
* Establish and oversee process for issuing Advance Warning Notices (AWNs) in line with HS2 standards and processes
* Establish and oversee process for Small Claims Scheme in line with HS2 standards and processes
* Manage the MDJV input into the management and resourcing of the HS2 Visitor Centre (including resourcing arrangements) and oversee the coordination of any VIP visits
* Manage the MDJV public enquiries with HS2 Helpdesk, ensuring all enquiries are managed within the process and agreed timescales
* Day-to-day point of contact for Independent Construction and Residents Commissioner
* Register the MDJV site with the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) and manage all reporting and subsequent inspections
* Ensure that reporting on all community and engagement activities is provided to HS2 through agreed processes by deadline
* Periodically update the community process in the project Quality Management System
* Ensure that the Stakeholder Record Management system is regularly updated and provides a clear summary of current discussions with external stakeholders
* As and when required, support the communications team with writing copy for communications including e/bulletins, newsletters and organise and participate in community meetings to update on progress and issues
* Work with SEE & Communications Lead in promoting fairness, dignity & respect on the Project and the SEE lead to ensure that stakeholders are engaged with and involved in SEE initiatives
* Develop and maintain a stakeholder key risks and issues log to be used to report to Senior Leadership Line manager staff
