Location: Fallowfields, Manchester Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum Contract: Permanent, Full-Time About the Opportunity Leader Recruitment Group is excited to partner with a new provider launching a 3-bed children's residential home in Fallowfields, Manchester, specialising in Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Manager to lead this new service, ensuring exceptional care for young people and achieving 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted ratings from the outset. Key Responsibilities Oversee the setup, registration, and day-to-day operations of the new 3-bed EBD home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations. Lead audits, Reg 44 visits, care planning, risk assessments, and health and safety compliance. Recruit, train, and inspire a dedicated team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. Create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for young people with EBD. Build strong relationships with multi-agency professionals, local authorities, and stakeholders. Drive quality and compliance, embedding a child-focused approach to achieve outstanding outcomes. Manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks to support the home's success. About You Essential: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children's residential setting, with EBD experience. Proven ability to manage or support the setup of an Ofsted-registered home. Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding, and relevant legislation. Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Competency in care planning, risk assessments, and health and safety compliance. Desirable: Experience in opening or managing a new children's home. A track record of achieving 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted ratings.
