Key Responsibilities of a Business Development Manager * Proactively prospect new clients through well-researched, personalised outreach across phone, email, LinkedIn and events * Schedule and attend meetings with prospective clients, clearly communicating how the company’s services deliver real commercial value * Represent the business with energy and professionalism at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities * Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless experience for prospects and new clients * Provide timely, consistent follow-up to ensure exceptional service and long-term relationship building * Contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes and client experience Key Skills of a Business Development Manager * Proven experience in sales or business development, ideally within a B2B or service-led environment * An analytical, inquisitive and technical mindset * Strong communication and organisational skills, with a positive, reliable and detail-focused approach * Confident building relationships with stakeholders at all levels * Commercially minded, target-driven and self-motivated * Willingness to learn, develop and take ownership of success Benefits * 20% bonus, paid quarterly * Staff share scheme * Wellness allowance * Laptop, iPhone and any other equipment provided * 30 days holiday including your birthday off and Christmas shutdown (without using your allowance) * 5% company pension contribution (minimum 3% from you) * Access to top-quality training and support for CII qualifications * Up to 10 volunteering days per year To be considered for this role please contact Katie Tyrrell at First Base Employment
