About the Role
The English and Drama Teacher will have the exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching of Drama and English subjects to students at Key Stage 3 and 4. This role requires an individual who is deeply passionate about both Drama and English, and possesses a knack for creating dynamic and immersive learning experiences.
The ideal candidate will excel at developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that capture the attention of students, fostering their interest and ensuring active participation. It is crucial for the candidate to have a comprehensive understanding of the National Curriculum, its requirements, and the assessment criteria for both Drama and English. This knowledge will enable the teacher to effectively tailor the curriculum, enabling student growth, attainment, and a comprehensive understanding of the subjects.
Responsibilities
* Teach Drama and English to students at Key Stage 3 and 4
* Create and deliver engaging and stimulating lessons
* Assess and track student progress
* Provide feedback to students and parents
* Work with other members of the staff to support the overall development of students
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* A university degree in Drama and English or a related field
* Knowledge of the National Curriculum and the assessment requirements for Drama and English
* Experience teaching Drama and English at the secondary level
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Willingness to undertake training and continued professional development
