We're searching for a motivated and passionate individual to join a supportive team at a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) / Alternative Education schools across South Manchester If you're eager to make a real difference and have experience supporting young people with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) this role could be perfect for you. You'll be working with 11-16 year olds, helping them build vital skills and confidence as they transition back into mainstream education or prepare for further education and employment. This isn't just about teaching; it's about providing high-quality, inspirational support that genuinely changes lives. What you'll gain: Valuable experience in the SEND sector. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons. Working closely with pupils, both one-on-one and in small groups. Contributing to innovative lesson planning. Managing behaviour effectively within the classroom and school environment. We're looking for someone with: A DBS on the update service. Prior experience with children or young adults in an educational setting. A strong commitment to student attainment. Excellent teamwork and a desire to make a positive impact. The ability to connect with children from diverse backgrounds. Comfort and confidence in supporting pupils who may have faced struggles. Proven behaviour management skills.
