Position: Senior Support Worker
As a Senior Support Worker at Cwtch Mawr, you will play a crucial role in supporting our residents' daily activities, additional needs, and personal development. You will work closely with a team including therapists and other support workers to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and supervise a team of dedicated support workers, fostering a positive and collaborative atmosphere.
2. Provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents with autism and other complex needs.
3. Assist in creating and implementing personalised care plans to meet individual needs and goals.
4. Encourage independence and life skills development in residents.
5. Promote a safe and stimulating environment, ensuring emotional and physical well-being.
6. Liaise with family, guardians, and external professionals for effective communication and continuity of care.
7. Support the management team in administrative tasks and staff training.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a support worker role within a care or education setting is essential.
2. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
3. A passion for working with individuals with complex needs.
4. Strong leadership and communication skills.
5. Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing needs and situations.
6. A driving license is essential; those without it cannot be considered.
Please note: This role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
