We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Audiologist at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. We are a vibrant and diverse team and are looking for a motivated audiologist to join us in providing the best possible service to our patients incorporating the Trust’s CARE values at all times.

This post is for a full time (37.5 hrs/week) and permanent position. The base for this post will be Wycombe Hospital and the applicant may be required to cover outreach clinics at other sites.
You should have a BSc in Audiology or equivalent qualification and will be registered with the AHCS or HCPC. You should have experience in adult diagnostic and rehabilitative care. Graduates will be considered for this role.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an audiologist with excellent clinical and organisational skills to join our busy and friendly team based at Wycombe Hospital. You will offer a patient-centred approach and will have direct involvement in shaping the way that we work on a day-to-day basis. You will be responsible for ensuring that our service users' needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care. The role is predominantly in Adult Audiology, but you may be required to assist on some Paediatric Clinics
The role involves working as part of a team to provide a comprehensive Audiology service that includes rehabilitation and diagnostic services. You will be required to work unsupervised, following an agreed period of induction within the Audiology department under the line management of the Chief Audiologists and Head of Audiology. Main duties of the role will include daily ENT clinics and hearing aid repairs.
The post holder will need to work within National and local set guidelines and protocols in the Department to ensure the department continue to meet national targets working towards obtaining IQIPS accreditation standards. Additional tasks may be assigned once competencies have been satisfied.

Essential criteria
1. BAAT I & II, BTEC MPPM or equivalent, BSc or MSc
2. European Computer Drivers Licence or equivalent
Experience

3. Assessment, fitting & verification of hearing aids in Adults.
4. Assessment, fitting & verification of digital hearing aids.
5. Undertakes vestibular & electrophysiological assessment and act appropriately on findings.
6. Undertakes non routine audiometric testing OAD & OAE testing, & free field testing
7. Teaching junior & trainee staff.
8. Experience of MHAS implementation.
