Reward & Recognition Specialist

Base pay range
£65,000.00-£75,000.00

This role supports the end‑to‑end delivery of reward and recognition activity - from annual pay reviews and job evaluation, through to benefits management and recognition schemes that genuinely matter to employees.
You'll help keep reward structures robust, compliant, competitive and future‑ready, while also bringing creativity to how recognition shows up across the business.
In short: you'll help make reward feel human, not just transactional.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Deliver annual pay review cycles (including Management & Admin and collectively bargained grades)
* Maintain grading structures and job description frameworks
* Undertake job evaluation for new and evolving roles
* Complete salary surveys and external market benchmarking
* Build pay and cost models to support BAU and strategic reward decisions
* Support pay gap analysis alongside Talent, D&I and Analytics teams
* Develop reward dashboards and reports (Power BI)
* Manage and continuously improve recognition schemes - from instant awards to long service celebrations
* Co‑deliver recognition events like Long Service Awards and Star Awards
* Support benefits management, wellbeing provision and supplier relationships
* Act as a trusted reward SME to People Partners across the business
You’ll also step up as deputy to the Reward & Recognition Manager when needed – a great opportunity for growth.
What You Bring
* Experience in a Reward role or as a strong HR Generalist
* Excellent Excel skills and confidence handling complex data
* Experience with compensation surveys and market data
* Strong organisational and project management skills
* A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
* The ability to explain reward clearly to non‑reward stakeholders
* A genuine interest in how reward and recognition drive engagement
