This role will be within ourMEICA and capital maintenance team.Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.
We're seeking a practical, hands-on mechanical technician to work on installation, maintenance, and repairs of water sector equipment - this is not a design or CAD role. The role is field-based and requires experience using tools, fault-finding, and working on mechanical systems such as pumps, valves, pipework and rotating equipment.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for maintaining various water assets, including:
1. CSO valves
2. Penstocks
3. Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs)
4. Isolation gates
5. Inspection of chambers and valve equipment
6. Oil equipment inspection, including draining and replacing oil systems
