This position sits within the finance and regulatory reporting function and reports directly to the Senior Regulatory Reporting Accountant. As part of a small team, a proactive approach and readiness to contribute across all areas of financial and regulatory reporting are crucial to ensuring deliverables are met.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Regulatory Reporting

* Support the production of monthly and quarterly COREP and FINREP submissions for review purposes
* Contribute to the preparation of additional returns required by the PRA and BOE
* Help maintain and improve regulatory reporting systems, tools, and spreadsheets, ensuring they remain accurate, up to date, and aligned with evolving regulatory requirements
* Assist in documenting and updating methodologies, assumptions, and interpretations relating to regulatory reporting standards and guidance

Management Accounting

* Provide support in compiling month-end management accounts and reporting packs for the Board
* Assist with generating financial reports for various internal teams
* Contribute to the ongoing improvement and upkeep of financial processes, systems, and spreadsheets to reflect regulatory or operational changes
* Deliver ad hoc financial analysis to support the Financial Accounting Manager and wider Finance team
* Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts, annual reports, corporation tax filings, and iXBRL submissions
* Support the completion of quarterly VAT returns

General Responsibilities

* Participate in project-related activities as required
* Support interactions with internal audit, risk, and compliance teams during scheduled reviews
* Respond to queries from other departments when needed
* Carry out general administrative duties, ensure required training and compliance obligations are met, adhere to internal policies on leave and absence, and undertake additional tasks as necessary to support daily operations

Candidate Profile and Skills

* Strong analytical and numerical capability, with experience handling large volumes of data
* High level of precision and strong attention to detail
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage workload and meet tight deadlines
* Collaborative team member who can also work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority
* Flexible and adaptable, with a proactive approach to improving processes

Desirable:

* Familiarity with mortgage and savings products
* Previous experience within financial services
* Knowledge or experience in accounting practices
* Exposure to regulatory reporting frameworks

* Based in Epsom
* £25,000 (plus discretionary bonus)
* 25 days holiday (rising to 28 days with service) + bank holidays
* Hybrid; 2 days office 3 days WFH
* Monday to Friday – 9.00 am – 5.30 pm
