SEN Teaching Assistant (Year 4 - 1:1 ASD, EYFS Curriculum Support) – Location: Rugby, CV22. Weekly Rate: £460 - £500. Start Date: ASAP. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm (Term Time Only). Contract: Long Term to Permanent.
We’re recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Rugby (CV22). This full-time role involves supporting a Year 4 pupil with autism who is working on a highly personalised curriculum at an Early Years level.
The Role
* Provide 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with ASD
* Deliver a tailored EYFS-level curriculum
* Use visuals, sensory tools, and communication strategies
* Create and maintain a consistent environment
* Focus on early learning goals – communication, interaction, independence
* Collaborate with the SENCO and external specialists
* Track progress through individualised learning plans
The Ideal Candidate
* Level 2/3 TA qualification (or equivalent)
* Experience supporting children with autism and complex needs
* Familiarity with EYFS learning and developmental milestones
* Creative, patient and flexible in approach
* Skilled in using visuals, Makaton, or PECS (desirable)
* Able to work closely with families and outside agencies
