Credit Controller

We are currently seeking a Credit Controller for a 3-month temporary position based in Brighton. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a knack for maintaining financial health and managing accounts receivable. Day-to-day of the role:
* Managing and collecting debts from company debtors
* Evaluating new credit requests and reviewing customers’ credit rankings with banks
* Setting up the terms and conditions of the receivable and payable balances
* Dealing with internal queries about payments, ensuring customers pay on time and negotiating re-payment plans
* Assisting in the setting up of the credit control system
* Ensuring that all transactions are compliant with company’s policies
* Handling disputed bills and negotiating to bring payment within the agreed terms
* Providing administrative support to the team
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Credit Controller
* Solid understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
* Proficient in MS Office and accounting software
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
* Competence in decision-making and working with numbers
* Ability to work in a team and to manage tasks independently
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
