The Financial Service (FS) Reward practice at KPMG is a dedicated team that provides reward solutions to both UK and non-UK headquartered FS clients. The FS Reward Practice sits within the wider KPMG UK Reward practice, which has grown rapidly in recent years. This role offers candidates the opportunity to join a business area which has wider leadership support to build upon its success and continue to grow.

The successful applicant will enjoy being involved in business development activities, including client proposals, internal and external presentations and writing material on technical and other matters. Roles and responsibilities
Managing and delivering client projects on Reward workflows, which can include the following:
1. Advising Remuneration Committees and management teams on reward strategy, shareholder consultation, corporate governance, pay regulation, ESG regulation and practices
2. Assisting with the drafting of Director's Remuneration Reports
3. Designing and structuring of new incentive plans; reviewing existing incentive plans to ensure they remain fit for purpose
4. Advising on performance metrics including the use of ESG measures
5. Advising on the impact of any corporate transactions on existing or new compensation and benefits plans
6. Designing plans for the wider workforce including all employee share purchase plans, recognition, wellbeing and benefits plans
7. Pay and benefits benchmarking
8. Taking early responsibility for building and maintaining some of KPMG's relationships with clients, including discussing people issues with clients and recognising opportunities to assist clients across different specialisms
9. Working with other teams to deliver integrated advice to clients in relation to their business issues
10. Delegating work to, and reviewing work carried out by, junior team members from both technical and commercial perspectives
11. Training and developing junior team members from both technical and non-technical perspective
12. Assisting in the development of innovative solutions, opportunities for clients and being part of initiatives to bring those solutions to market
13. Advising on technical issues and supporting the team's knowledge management
14. Effectively managing commercial and contractual aspects of an engagement to achieve expected levels of quality and profitability
15. Involving themselves in negotiations and taking the lead
16. Presenting reports and findings to senior executives in consultation with partners and directors and enabling clients to make informed decisions for their business
17. Developing a portfolio of clients by building and maintaining strategic relationships with senior stakeholders of existing or new clients
18. Maintaining awareness of market trends, competitor activity, products and services.

Qualifications and Experience
32. Bachelor's Degree preferable. An analytical subject economics, finance, mathematics, business, statistics an advantage but not essential
33. Work experience that demonstrates strong technical and client service skills as well as strong business development acumen
34. Direct experience in advising Financial Services firms on Reward matters and/ or experience with advising Remuneration Committees, in the capacity as an external consultant or in-house
