The Role
The Broker Sales Team Leader plays a pivotal role in driving mortgage completions and leading a high-performing sales team. This hybrid role balances hands-on application management with strategic leadership, fostering strong relationships with broker firms and internal departments to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities
Application Management (%) – Lead by example
1. Oversee and progress new mortgage applications from submission to completion.
2. Ensure timely and compliant processing aligned with lender and regulatory standards
Team Leadership & Strategy (%)
3. Lead, coach, and motivate Broker Sales Executives (BSEs) to exceed individual and team SLA’s and KPI’s
4. Foster a high-performance culture by setting clear goals and expectations
5. Identify training needs and coordinate development plans
6. Conduct monthly performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback
7. Act as escalation point for BSEs and broker firms
8. Maintain regular contact with broker firms and their team leaders to strengthen partnerships
9. Champion cross-functional collaboration with: Quality Assurance Underwriting Business Change Business Analysts Data Teams Marketing
10. Support in regular team meetings to share updates, insights, and drive engagement
Essential Skills
11. Proven leadership experience in a sales environment
12. Minimum years’ experience in Mortgage Broker Sales
13. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
14. Demonstrated ability to lead teams to meet and exceed sales targets
Desirable
15. CeMAP or equivalent mortgage qualification
16. Sound knowledge of specialist mortgage products and distribution, particularly homeowner loans
