Commercial Manager
(Permanent, Full-Time)
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
The Commercial Manager will be responsible for all sales activities in UK and Ireland with a focus on internal and external retail, ensuring that qualitative and quantitative sales targets are achieved in all distribution channels by maintaining intensive contacts with key contacts to ensure successful product sales.
Key responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Budget:
* Conception and implementation of the sales strategy
* Development and implementation of the corresponding action plan
* Definition, management and control of annual sales targets (total market, distribution channel, customer, product line, etc.)
* Definition and control of the sales and distribution budgets
Retail Management:
* Define and implement the yearly retail strategy for UK
* Permanently react to adapt and ensure the implementation of the plan:
* Daily analysis of the trend
* Strong presence on the field
* Monthly reports and KPI’s follow up
* Evaluation, planning and development of new boutique locations
Key Account Management:
* Prepare and conduct annual meetings with key trading partners
* Supporting the most important trading partners in annual planning
* Advising the most important trading partners on market, customer and product range developments
* Manage the product assortment (model stock) per point of sale
* Prioritisation of shop-in-shop locations and negotiation of corresponding contracts
* Streamlining the distribution network (terminating existing and negotiating new concession contracts)
Special projects:
* Ensure a smoothly functioning supply chain from order to delivery (in cooperation with head office)
* Coordinate and optimise all interfaces of the UK and Ireland market with the SAV
Internal Communication:
* Be influential and build strong relationships with all key stakeholders to ensure that
Jaeger-LeCoultre UK and Ireland get the relevant amount of support and allocations vs. market size and potential.
Budget:
* Analysis and optimisation of budgets
* Monthly monitoring for Brand Director and controlling
Team Management:
* Manage team of 2 boutique managers
* Evaluate and create successful retail sales teams with succession plans in cooperation with the boutique managers
* Set objectives for each boutique in line with HQ guidelines & the region’s objectives
* Ensure regular personalized feedback to each employee
* Coach and develop employees according to their strengths
Training Coordination:
* Establish the yearly training plan in coordination with the Regional Training Manager
* Ensure trainings on Boutique operations and Retailization program are rolled out across all boutiques.
* Coach Boutique Managers and sales staff on brand strategy and commercial objectives.
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
* Several years of experience in a similar position, ideally in the watch/luxury industry
* Talent to multi-task while leading a project, from implementation to end results
* Proven ability to communicate efficiently with clients, partners & the team
* Sense of ownership and accountability
* Organized, pragmatic, able to manage & build new projects from scratch and lead cross-functional teams
* Flexible, customer-centric mind-set and quickly adaptable person
* Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
