As primary support staff, you will be working in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, providing support and assistance to students with a range of SEMH and SEN needs, whilst supporting their academic progress. You will need to provide guidance and encouragement to students, whilst being understanding and compassionate but with clear boundaries in place. The successful candidate will attend regular meetings with SLT and parents/carers to track the student’s academic, emotional, and social progress. Requirements for this role: A clear and up-to-date DBS (Teaching Personnel can support) Available Monday-Friday, 8:30-15:30, during term time Be committed to this role, the school, and its children Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with students and school staff Experience working with SEND or SEMH Behaviour management experience Are local to or can travel to Eastbourne and the surrounding areas.
