Required for January 2026, we seek to appoint a well-qualified, dynamic and lively graduate to teach Business Studies to GCSE and A-level. Experience of delivering Level 3 BTEC Business Studies would be advantageous. The department also offers A Level Economics, and this could be incorporated in the teaching for the right candidate. Candidates should be able to demonstrate success in the classroom and be effective team players.

Key Responsibilities
 * Deliver engaging Business lessons across GCSE, A-level, and potentially BTEC and Economics, using a variety of teaching strategies to support all learners.
 * Contribute to curriculum development, working collaboratively to enhance subject provision and respond to specification changes.
 * Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and supporting achievement through effective evaluation.
 * Communicate with parents regarding student attainment and progress, including participation in parents’ evenings.
 * Engage in professional development, including INSET days, appraisal processes, and keeping subject knowledge up to date.
 * Support pastoral care as a tutor, contributing to the REALtime programme and House activities.
 * Promote the College ethos, participating fully in co-curricular life and acting as a positive role model.
 * Fulfil supervisory duties, including break, lunchtime, and cover responsibilities as needed.
 * Assist with marketing and events, including open days and promoting departmental activities via internal and external channels.
 * Ensure health and safety compliance in line with College and departmental policies.

Person Specification
 * Ability to teach Business Studies to A-level and GCSE Edexcel Business.
 * Knowledge of current Edexcel and BTEC Business specifications.
 * Experience delivering outstanding lessons to students of all ages and abilities.
 * Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
 * Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
 * Ability to enthuse and inspire students and develop positive relationships.
 * Good IT skills and ability to use technology to enhance learning.
 * Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of pupils.
 * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
 * Ability to teach Level 3 BTEC Business.
 * Experience supporting students to achieve excellent examination outcomes.
 * Experience using IT to promote the department and engage learners.
 * A passion for the subject and willingness to learn new skills.
 * Ability to take personal responsibility, reflect, and improve practice.
 * Sense of humour and desire to contribute to a positive school culture.
 * Degree with substantial Business Studies content.
