Job Description: Answering phone calls and greeting patients face to face Booking/cancelling appointments using signposting Taking a turn sitting on the front desk front facing role Handling prescription requests Monitoring surgery emails; replying and actioning Handling of incoming post Be able to cover leave requests Registrations/Deductions Scanning and reading clinical correspondence and actioning/filing/forwarding to the GP as per the practice protocol Actioning reception task box Downloading electronic mail Safeguarding emails actioning following surgery protocol Actioning requests for online services Dealing with basic patient enquiries without supervision that do not require a manager or GP attention. Assisting with photocopying of notes when required Providing and recording receipts for payment from patients for non NHS work Various ad hoc admin duties as delegated by the line manager.
