Rate: PAYE £16.62 per hour
Work Pattern: Full-time, 8:00–16:30
We're recruiting a Painter to support building and facilities maintenance. This is a key role for experienced professionals with strong painting and decorating skills, ensuring high-quality finishes and safe working practices across sites.
About the Role
As a Painter, you'll prepare, paint, and decorate a variety of surfaces, apply protective coatings, and carry out surface repairs. You will maintain tools and equipment, work independently or as part of a team, and ensure all work meets health, safety, and quality standards.
What You'll Be Doing
* Preparing, painting, and decorating a variety of surfaces using standard techniques.
* Applying protective coatings to walls, ceilings, and fixtures.
* Carrying out repairs and surface preparation, including filling, sanding, and priming.
* Ensuring all work meets health, safety, and quality standards.
* Maintaining tools, equipment, and materials in good condition.
* Following instructions from supervisors and reporting any issues promptly.
* Working independently or as part of a team to complete tasks on schedule.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking experienced painters with strong decorating skills and knowledge of health and safety regulations. You'll ideally have:
* Proven experience as a painter in a facilities or building services environment.
* Relevant qualifications or training in painting and decorating.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and safe working practices.
* Ability to work at height safely and follow manual handling procedures.
* Full UK driving licence.
Nice-to-Have Requirements
* CSCS trade card or equivalent.
* Training in asbestos awareness, abrasive wheels, or related health and safety courses.
* Experience in public sector or local authority facilities maintenance.
